Holiday Spiced Café Au Lait

  • ⅛ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2½ cups whole milk
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground cloves
  • 6 cinnamon sticks, 3 inches long
  • Nutmeg, generous pinch
  • Ground coffee – enough to make a full pot of coffee in either a drip or French press coffee maker
  1. Brew coffee as normal, adding spices to the ground beans before brewing.
  2. While holiday spiced coffee is brewing, heat milk in a saucepan with honey over medium heat, stirring with a whisk until warm and slightly frothy.
  3. Fill cups ⅔ with coffee, then top with the warm milk. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and spices (optional).
