Makes 1 cocktail

    ingredients
  • Salt or sal de gusano (a mix of dried costeño peppers, sea salt, and dried maguey worms) for rim (optional)
  • 2½ ounces tequila blanco
  • Squeeze of lime juice
  • Grapefruit soda (Squirt or Jarritos would work), to top
  • Garnish: Lime wedge
steps
  1. Moisten rim of highball glass with water or lime, and dip in salt. Fill glass with ice.
  2. Add tequila and lime juice, then top with grapefruit soda.
  3. Stir together gently. Garnish with lime wedge.
