Sprouted Quinoa

  • 3 cups quinoa
  • 8 cups water

  1. Soak quinoa in water overnight in a covered container. The quinoa will expand quite a bit. It can remain in the water in your refrigerator for up to a week. Simply measure out the amount of quinoa you need, and drain off the excess water and add to recipes.
  2. Use double the amount of sprouted quinoa to dry quinoa in recipes calling for dry quinoa, and it needs to cook for a fraction of the time (less than half) needed to cook dry quinoa, so adjust the cooking time accordingly.
