Note: Not a lot of honeydew is needed for the syrup since honeydew has high water content. As long as it’s equal parts honeydew juice to sugar, it doesn’t matter how much you make. Just make however much you need.”

Makes 1 cocktail

    For the Cocktail
  • 1½ ounces gin
  • ½ ounce Génépy le chamois liqueur
  • ¾ ounce Honeydew Syrup (recipe follows)
  • ¾ ounce lemon juice
  • Garnish: A few drops of finishing olive oil
  • For the Honeydew Syrup
  • Honeydew melon, rind removed
  • Sugar
  • Special Equipment
  • Juicer
  • Immersion blender

Make the Honeydew Syrup

  1. Juice honeydew, add equal parts sugar to honeydew juice, and blend with an immersion blender.

Make the Supersonic Cocktail

  1. In a cocktail tin filled with ice, combine all ingredients except garnish and shake, then strain into a glass. Top with olive oil.
