Set against blue skies and a breathtaking backdrop, Moore Farms Botanical Garden hosted MFBG Beer Fest, a signature event that drew crowds of people from across South Carolina’s PeeDee region to celebrate local businesses, benefit local nonprofits, and indulge in some of the best beer in the state.

Guests meandered through 65 acres of meticulously cultivated gardens that are open to the public exclusively for signature events. Moore Farms Botanical Garden was founded by Darla Moore, a renowned Southern businesswoman who took Wall Street by storm in the 80s and 90s. Moore converted her grandparents’ land in Lake City, South Carolina, into the nonprofit garden to further horticulture education, revitalize gardening traditions, and pour into the growing community. All MFBG Beer Fest ticket proceeds directly contribute to local nonprofit organizations.
Within the gardens, guests perused local wares and exciting popup displays, participated in engaging games and activities, and piled up plates from some of the best food trucks in the area. All the while, attendees were able to partake in unlimited samples from over 20 national and local breweries, with each brewery offering multiple beers for sampling.
Though only an afternoon, guests and vendors alike felt their community gleam during MFBG Beer Fest, producing a reverent pride for their state, their land, and their people. MFBG Beer Fest is the only festival of its kind in the PeeDee region of South Carolina, and tickets just launched for MFBG Beer Fest 2025!
Hint: 2025’s MFBG Beer Fest theme is unmissable and unmistakably fly. Mark your calendar for Saturday, September 13, 2025 and snag tickets today!
