Quite a few Fort Myers breweries have made names for themselves on a regional and national level. As the brewing scene down here continues to grow, it’s easy to plan an entire trip around the tasting rooms of your choice or simply add a few to your vacation itinerary.
Use the map feature to explore the local brewing scene and start planning where you’ll grab your next cold one.
Ceremony Brewing
Our last stop in Bonita Springs is located in the historical downtown. This taproom and bottle shop offers something for every palate with a wide selection of wine, seltzers, ciders, and CBD drinks in addition to their beer.
Fort Myers Brewing Co.
The first brewery on the Fort Myers scene opened in 2013 and has won multiple awards for its beers. Top brews to try include the popular High Five IPA and Gateway Gold blonde ale. There are also seasonal and small-batch options. Don’t forget to check out the packed event calendar to find out when to stop by for food trucks, trivia, live music, and more.
Crazy Dingo Brewing Co.
This is not your typical taproom. Through their partnership with Southern Fresh Farms, Crazy Dingo Brewing Co.’s tasting area is among an actual operating farm. Relax and unwind in a tranquil setting while you sip beer and enjoy grub from a visiting food truck.
Point Ybel Brewing Company
Point Ybel Brewing Company, named for the lighthouse on the east end of Sanibel Island, takes particular pride in their approach to brewing lagers. If that’s not your style, there’s plenty of other options from IPAs and red ales to stouts and more. In addition to weekly live music, you can join the crew for Sunday morning yoga — and enjoy a nice cold beer afterward.
Palm City Brewing Co.
This brewery’s business approach is simple: “Pints in Paradise.” Check out beers with unique names like Hidden Agenda, Recycled Unicorn Tears and Last Laugh, then buy some to go.
Millennial Brewing Company
Millennial Brewing Company is located in downtown Fort Myers in a hip, post-industrial space. It’s both family and pet-friendly, so bring your kids and furry friends for an evening out. In addition to their signature brews, Millennial also has handcrafted ciders on tap.
Hopsized Brewing Co.
A hobby that began in the owner’s garage is now Hopsized Brewing Co. in Bonita Springs, named the “Best Small Brewery in Florida” in 2023 by Best Florida Beer. The team hosts unique weekly events like running clubs, bingo nights, and Night Market at the Springs, where you can shop local businesses.
Riptide Brewing Company
Also in Bonita Springs, this brewery is female- and family-owned. Try a classic brew like Seafoam Haze, then sip on a seasonal brew. Plan your visit around the release of a collaborative beer with another local brewery or supplier.
Eight-Foot Brewing
This spot in Cape Coral is not just a brewery — it’s also a hub for brewing education. Visitors can join classes to learn how beer is made. Because of their focus on education, the staff has top-notch knowledge of flavor profiles and can help guide you to an unforgettable beer tasting experience.
Big Storm Brewing Co.
Since 2012, Big Storm Brewing Co. has been churning out beers with weather-related monikers. Bring the whole family to their kid-friendly space in Cape Coral and enjoy a full-service menu and live music every weekend. There’s nothing better than a bright, sunny day with a Sunny Key Lime wheat ale.
Scotty’s Bierwerks
This spot was voted “Best of Cape Coral 2022: Best Craft Brewery” by Breeze Newspapers in 2022. A 20-year dream by its owner is now a 20-barrel brewery with 10,000 square feet of warehouse space. Visit the sleek taproom and try a Creamsicle Fruited Ale, recently back by popular demand, or classic brews like a Blonde Ale, American Pilsner and Hefeweizen.
There’s a #MyFortMyers story for everyone. Serious beer lovers will find diverse brews and exciting taprooms in this corner of Southwest Florida, and the scene is only getting bigger. Start planning a visit to make your own beer-centric #MyFortMyers memories at VisitFortMyers.com.
