If you’ve ever wanted to learn what goes into creating and producing a cookbook, now’s your chance! TLP Editor in Chief, Erin Byers Murray is getting together with Nina, chef of New Orleans restaurants Compère Lapin and Bywater American Bistro, as well as her collaborator Osayi, for our first Cookbook Club virtual conversation. They’re going to chat about all that went into making Nina’s first cookbook—from how they sifted through her life story to how they selected the recipes and what it meant to travel for their research for Kwéyòl / CreoleExpect to get the scoop on how their individual personal journeys contributed to the project. We’ll also get Nina’s tips and suggestions for how to cook your way through the book and hear the stories behind some of her favorite recipes.
