The world’s largest oyster festival is back for their 41st celebration!

The Charleston Restaurant Foundation invites you to experience the world’s largest oyster festival! Tickets are now on sale for the 41st annual Lowcountry Oyster Festival held on February 2, 2025 at historic Boone Hall Plantation. Here, guests indulge in one of the Lowcountry’s most cherished traditions, consuming over 45,000 pounds of steamed oysters. Live music, oyster shucking and eating contests, a children’s area and a culinary village featuring a variety of Charleston’s best restaurants keep the fun going all day long.

Sustainability is at the heart of the event, with festival organizers working with the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and the Coastal Conservation Association of Charleston to recycle shells in local coastal waters, where they help rebuild fisheries, reefs, prevent soil erosion and mitigate flood risk.

Lowcountry Oyster Festival supports meaningful charities and educational initiatives that have a lasting impact on the community, having raised over $1.5 million for Charleston-area charities over the years.

The festival is a rain or shine event. General admission and VIP ticket options are available. No pets, coolers or outside food and beverages will be allowed. Oyster knives and gloves will be available for purchase. Boone Hall Plantation is located at 1235 Long Point Road, Mount Pleasant, SC, 29464. There are two entrances for the event: the main Boone Hall entrance off Long Point Road and the entrance off Highway 17.
