North Carolina Oyster Festival in Ocean Isle Beach

2025 will mark the 44th anniversary of the North Carolina Oyster Festival. On Saturday, October 18th and Sunday, October 19th, celebrate everything Oyster with a variety of foods, crafts, contests, children’s activities and musical performances at Town Center Park in Ocean Isle Beach. The Festival’s signature Oyster Shucking Contest will be held on Saturday, October 18th. There will be plenty of oyster dishes to sample as well as food of all types. Bring a chair to sit back and enjoy live music featuring a variety of genres. Dancing is encouraged!

October 17th
Oyster Festival Kick Off
At 5:00 PM, we’ll begin with a special ceremony featuring a flag-raising, the Honor Guard, and the National Anthem. The Brunswick County Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon-cutting, followed by the unveiling of the official festival t-shirt and festival print, designed by the talented artist Keith White. The festivities continue with a free concert, so bring your friends and family and celebrate the start of the 2025 Oyster Festival!
October 18th
Oyster Shucking Contest
Show off your shucking skills and your need for speed with our oyster shucking contest. Guidelines for professional shuckers will be followed. Prizes will be awarded to winners!
