Chris Hannah is at the helm of the cocktail program at French 75. He mixes the classics—a mean sazerac and french 75—but has also developed a menu awash with inventive concoctions including his cocktail for toasting the luck of the Irish, Arnaud’s basil smash.
2 ounces Irish whiskey
¾ ounce lime juice
½ ounce agave nectar
¼ ounce Chartreuse
Garnish: 4 basil leaves and a basil crown
- In a cocktail tin filled with ice, combine first four ingredients and basil leaves.
- Shake to combine and double strain into an ice–filled glass
- Then garnish with basil crown.
