Coconut Rickey

By: The Local Palate
Coconut Rickey

The Rickey is DC’s native Cocktail, and as July is Rickey Month in Washington, DC, Cotton & Reed’s Coconut Rickey seemed apropos. Rum is, of course, a subversion of the traditional gin or bourbon, but the texture of the Coconut Rum lends itself well to the fizzy refresher. They recommend using Topo Chico as the topper for its violent bubbles and minerality.
