Nathan Foster of The Throughbred Club in the Charleston’s Belmont Omni updates the classic Bailey’s and Coffee by melding it with a traditional carajillo—a Spanish drink from Cuba that combines coffee and rum. Perfect for fall, this pumpkin spice carajillo adds a touch of Espresso Ground Rum to the mix. The addition of orange zest to the creamy spiced flavor adds a unique hint of citrus!
1 ounce Bailey’s Irish Cream
1 ounce Grind Espresso Rum
Coffee (enough to fill mug)
Orange zest to taste
Whipped cream for topping
Pumpkin spice for finishing
- In a mug, add Bailey’s Irish Cream and rum. Fill mug with coffee and top with orange zest, also rubbing on rim of mug. Top with whipped cream and pumpkin spice.
