South Austin Iced Tea

Clinton Tedin’s “Arnold Palmer for grown-ups” manifests in the South Austin Iced Tea, which just a bit fancier than the iced tea from Long Island. To make the batch of tea, be sure to check out Tedin’s piquant recipe for Chai with Dehydrated Oranges first.

Makes 6 cocktails

  • 16 ounces Cocchi di Torino vermouth
  • 16 ounces Chai with oranges
  • 3¼ ounces Mommenpop blood orange vermouth*
  • 3 ounces freshly squeezed lemon juice, divided
  • Garnish: 6 straws, 6 dehydrated orange slices
  1. In a large container or bowl, mix all ingredients except lemon juice.
  2. In each of six 12-ounce glasses, combine 5½ ounces of batch with ½ ounce lemon juice.
  3. Stir, add ice and a straw, and garnish with orange slice.
