Alba Heurta twists this Southern classic by blending the warm tones of cinnamon with the punch of tequila. Topped off with hot cinnamon tea and a lemon twist, this cocktail is perfect for fending off that nagging cold in the cooler months without missing out on the buzz.

Makes 1 cocktail

    Ingredients
  • 1½ ounces Tequila Ocho Plata
  • ½ ounce Pedro Ximénez sherry, such as El Candado
  • ½ ounce turbinado syrup (equal parts turbinado sugar and water)
  • 3 ounces hot cinnamon tea
  • Garnish: 1 cinnamon stick, 1 lemon twist
steps
  1. Pour tequila, sherry, and syrup into glass and stir to blend.
  2. Add hot tea. To garnish, lay cinnamon stick across the rim of the glass and drape lemon twist over it.
