yields

1 bottle infused bourbon

    Ingredients
  • 1 (750-milliliter) bottle bourbon
  • ¼ tablespoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 large cinnamon stick
  • 2-3 large red apples, sliced
steps
  1. In a large, lidded container, combine all ingredients, ensuring nutmeg, cinnamon stick, and apples are covered with bourbon.
  2. Allow to infuse for 7 days away from direct sunlight. Serve neat or on the rocks. (Peters recommends adding ¼- to ½-ounce simple syrup to each 2-ounce pour to round out the flavors.)
