A classic drink, perfect for chilly weather — a Negroni, but instead of gin, Charleston mixologist at Proof recommends bourbon, making this a Boulevardier. Worship Chaleka enjoys the bourbon’s heat on winter nights, and the simplicity of the cocktail as he says: “Nobody should be able to mess it up. You can’t really go wrong.”

Makes 1 cocktail

  • 1 ounce Woodford Reserve bourbon
  • 1 ounce Campari
  • 1 ounce Carpano Antica sweet vermouth
  • Garnish: Orange twist
  1. Add bourbon, Campari, and vermouth to a cocktail tin with ice and stir until well-chilled.
  2. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice and garnish with orange twist.
