More Than a Meal

Botanic has become one of Auburn-Opelika’s most distinctive destinations because it offers far more than a place to eat. Set across beautifully maintained grounds in Opelika, the property brings together dining, shopping, gardening, and gathering spaces that leave a lasting impression.
A visit to Botanic might begin in the garden, where large glass doors open into a lush indoor space filled with waterfalls, thoughtful décor, private dining areas, and a full-service bar. Just outside, a walkway overlooks the pond, where a flock of fluffy white ducks is always happy to accept a handful of feed from passing visitors. Beyond the water, The Garden Shoppe offers home décor, gifts, and garden-inspired finds, while The Market serves fresh pastries, coffee, grab-and-go meals, and pantry staples. Guests can stroll the grounds, browse the greenhouse, or test their putting skills on the green overlooking the pond. Throughout the year, weddings, celebrations, and special events bring even more energy to the property, making every visit a little different.
The Grille
The Grille is a natural extension of everything visitors experience throughout the rest of the property. The same gardens and greenhouse that shape Botanic’s atmosphere also influence the menu. Rather than relying on the same offerings year-round, the culinary team builds dishes around ingredients at their peak, creating a menu that evolves with the seasons and showcases the freshest flavors.
Summer produce from Alabama farms appears in appetizers, salads, entrées, and even side dishes, while Gulf seafood, premium meats, and house-made touches round out the offerings. Guests will find familiar Southern ingredients prepared with fresh perspectives, whether they’re
sharing small plates to start the meal or settling in for one of the restaurant’s composed entrées. One detail that stands out is Botanic’s commitment to recognizing the people behind the ingredients. Many menu items identify the farms supplying the produce, connecting diners with growers from across the region. It’s a subtle touch that reinforces the restaurant’s relationship with Alabama agriculture.
The setting completes the experience. Natural light pours through the dining room, and the pace encourages guests to linger over another course or one more conversation. After exploring the grounds, The Grille feels like the perfect conclusion to the afternoon, offering a meal that reflects the same care and attention found throughout the rest of Botanic.
