3-Herb Gracious Grapefruit Gimlet

Makes 1 cocktail

    For 3-Herb Gracious Grapefruit Gimlet
  • 2 ounces barrel-aged gin (I used Waterloo)
  • ¾ ounce Make & Muddle 3 Herb Gracious Grapefruit Syrup or substitution
  • ½ ounce grapefruit juice
  • ½ ounce lime juice

  • For 3-Herb Gracious Grapefruit Syrup Substitution
  • Makes 1 ounce

  • ½ ounce grapefruit lime syrup
  • ½ ounce thyme, rosemary, and sage syrup
steps
  1. To a cocktail tin filled with ice, add all ingredients.
  2. Shake until well chilled, about 20 seconds.
  3. Strain into a chilled coupe.

To make the 3-Herb Gracious Grapefruit Syrup Substitution

  1. Bring 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water to a boil. Remove from heat and transfer half to another pan. To the first pan, add the peel of half a grapefruit and the peel of 1 lime. Cover and steep for at least 2 hours.
  2. To the second pan add 5 stems fresh thyme, 2 stems fresh rosemary, and 2 stems fresh sage and steep for up to 2 hours. Strain both syrups and store in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.
