This Halloween-themed cocktail is straight from Black Lagoon’s Halloween pop-up bar. Masterminds Erin Hayes and Kelsey Ramage promise a fun experience fit for the Halloween season. Inspired by goth metal and cult horror, Black Lagoon’s dark dungeons of drink are ornamented with dreadful decor and eerie soundtracks. Guests can sip on chilling concoctions, some served in skull glassware, with names like Closed Casket and Screaming Banshee.

1½ ounces mezcal
½ ounce beet juice
½ ounce falernum
½ ounce lemon juice
1 dash absinthe
2 dashes Scrappy’s Aromatic Bitters
Garnish: fresh mint, lime
