By: Mandy Milder

When dining out, it’s crucial to have good Italian options to choose from. The South offers many cuisines, including restaurants scattered throughout that give you the feel of Italy without traveling so far. From the Carolinas to the Deep South, these eight restaurants offer quality, authentic Italian dining south of the Mason-Dixon.

Füm

Atlanta, Georgia

Inspired by Italian piazzas and marketplaces, Füm is a lively, open-concept restaurant where each pasta is shaped by hand and meat is aged in its own dry chamber. The food is plated artfully and intentionally, implementing traditional Italian flavors mixed with the chef’s creativity and seasonal ingredients. With delicious food, an open kitchen, a welcoming dining room, and vinyl spinning, Füm is not only good for a meal, but an experience.

Osteria Georgi

Chapel Hill, North Carolina

Driven by hospitality and dishes made with fresh Italian ingredients, Osteria Georgi in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, is an absolute can’t-miss.
