The Research Triangle of North Carolina, comprised of Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill, has lots more to offer besides their great schools and breathtaking scenery. As the capital city of North Carolina, Raleigh has a delicious culinary scene. Visitors can try Poole’s Diner for an ever-evolving blackboard of comfort delights, Crawford & Son where food takes on the appearance of art, or Brewery Bhavana from delicious dim sum paired with unique beers.
A quick drive 20 minutes from Raleigh will land you in Durham where the food experience is just the same. Starting at breakfast, wander downtown to Loaf for delicate pastries and bread or Cocoa Cinnamon for some single-origin coffee. Finally, the town of Chapel Hill offers an amazing culinary scene on Franklin Street. This college town does not skimp on its offerings. Of course, there are delicious budget friendly options, such as Time-Out, Tru, Sup Dogs, Al’s Burger Shack, and Mediterranean Deli, but there are some delicious and classy spots as well, such as Crossroads Chapel Hill, 411 West, and Lantern. The Triangle is definitely a worthwhile visit.
