FOOD & WINE Classic in Charleston
The second annual event welcomes a star-studded lineup of culinary talent!

The FOOD & WINE Classic in Charleston has quickly become a standout in the culinary calendar, blending the flavors and traditions of the Lowcountry with world-class talent from around the globe. Attendees can expect more than 40 seminars, cooking demonstrations, wine and spirits tastings, and panel discussions led by an all-star roster of chefs, beverage experts, and culinary personalities.
Esteemed names including Emeril and E.J. Lagasse, Kwame Onwuachi, Gail Simmons, Sean Brock, Maneet Chauhan, Tyler Florence, Andrew Zimmern, and Chris Shepherd, will be joined by Charleston’s own celebrated figures such as Mike Lata, James London, Carrie Morey, Rodney Scott, Femi Oyediran, and Miles White. The Classic’s famed Grand Tasting is the centerpiece of the weekend that brings together more than 100 winemakers, distillers, and purveyors, alongside tastings from a stellar lineup of Charleston-area restaurants.
Beyond the core programming, the Classic offers an array of special ticketed experiences designed to celebrate the region’s culinary culture in unforgettable settings. On Friday evening, Travel + Leisure and Food & Wine present Pearls of the Coast Oyster Roast, where guests can savor live fire-roasted oysters, sip fine wines and cocktails, and enjoy live jazz beneath Charleston’s starry skies. Saturday brings the Southern Living Lowcountry Tailgate at The Dunlin, Kiawah River, hosted by Southern Living Editor in Chief Sid Evans. This festive evening pairs Southern hospitality and college football spirit with Lowcountry traditions, live music, and exceptional barbecue prepared by acclaimed pitmasters and chefs including Sean Brock, Hector Garate, Emeril and E.J. Lagasse, John Lewis, and Rodney Scott.
Over the course of the weekend, Travel + Leisure will also host Sea to Table: Crabbing & Cooking in the Lowcountry, a hands-on series where local expert Tia Clark teaches guests the art of net casting and crabbing along the Ashley River before joining chefs Marcus Shell, Vinson Petrillo, and Lamont Ferrebee for interactive cooking sessions and private luncheons showcasing the day’s fresh catch.
